Description

Pierre Girardin’s Corton-Charlemagne brings together Chardonnay from old vines on the Ladoix and Pernand sides of the hill. The former face east and the latter west, offering two complementary perspectives on Corton. The blend therefore creates a dialogue between different positions within the same Grand Cru. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in barrel, and maturation subsequently continues in stainless steel. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. Its distinguishing feature lies in this dual origin, enriching the interpretation of a particularly varied vineyard landscape.
