Description

Pierre Girardin’s Les Narvaux originates in upper Meursault, in the Narvaux-Dessus section above the Premier Cru belt. The Chardonnay vines stand more than three hundred metres above sea level, giving this cuvée a clearly differentiated origin within the village appellation. Cellar work follows a restrained sequence: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, maturation in barrel and a subsequent period in stainless steel. Bottling takes place without fining or filtration. The wine’s identity is therefore built around its hillside position, showing how an individual named site can sharpen an interpretation of Meursault.
