Description

Les Vireuils takes Pierre Girardin to the highest ground in Meursault, above three hundred and fifty metres and beyond the Premier Cru vineyards. The site is devoted to Chardonnay and includes mature vines within a landscape where altitude clearly distinguishes the different named parcels. The cuvée is fermented with indigenous yeasts and follows a maturation sequence combining barrel and stainless steel. The transition between the two vessels accompanies the wine towards bottling. It is a parcel-focused interpretation of Meursault, centred on the vineyard’s position and the expression of its grape variety.
