Description

Prieuré Roch’s Clos de Bèze comes from a parcel of approximately one hectare in the heart of the Grand Cru, outside Gevrey-Chambertin towards Morey-Saint-Denis. Facing east, it lies between 240 and 250 metres on Prémeaux limestone. Brown soils include silt and gravelly debris in the upper part, with clay limestone along the slope. The clos traces its history to the monks of the Abbey of Bèze. The wine combines concentration and freshness, with generous substance and velvety tannins, expressing a complex, enveloping character.
