Description

Prieuré Roch’s Clos de Vougeot comes from a parcel of just over half a hectare in the area historically known as the terroir royal. The vineyard includes plantings dating from 1929, 1949 and 1969. Its setting is the great Cistercian clos of Vougeot, established through the work of the monks of Cîteaux and later divided among numerous owners. The domaine describes its interpretation through power and clarity of structure. It is a firmly defined red whose identity remains closely connected to the site and the long history of its vines.
