Robert Groffier's Chambertin Clos de Bèze comes from a small family holding in Gevrey-Chambertin, with a heritage of very old vines. This Pinot Noir is among the deepest expressions in the range of a domaine based in Morey-Saint-Denis. Oak maturation and a subsequent period in tank accompany a wine of dense structure and precise texture. The general profile brings together dark fruit, flowers, spices and mineral impressions. Intensity of substance is linked with fine tannins and persistence, retaining a clear connection with the origin of this historic Grand Cru.
