Robert Groffier's Les Sentiers lies below Bonnes-Mares, in the northern part of Chambolle-Musigny. Old Pinot Noir vines grow on iron-rich clay, providing the origin of a cuvée in which structure plays a clearly recognisable role. The wine matures in oak before its preparation is completed in tank. The general profile combines depth of fruit with floral and spicy impressions, supported by a mineral dimension. This Premier Cru shows a substantial side of Chambolle, with a defined texture that retains lift and finesse while remaining closely connected with its particular vineyard origin.
