Description

Roland Lavantureux’s Chablis Vieilles Vignes comes from southeast-facing parcels in Lignorelles planted in the 1960s. These old Chardonnay vines provide naturally concentrated fruit, which the domaine handles with a balance of richness and tension in mind. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, while maturation combines tanks and previously used barrels before blending and estate bottling. Ripe fruit, depth and a persistent mineral finish define the profile. The cuvée highlights both the established root systems of the vines and the complementary roles of the different vessels used during its maturation.
