Description
Domaine Rostaing's Ampodium is a Syrah-based Côte-Rôtie bringing together vineyards across the appellation. Previously known as Classique, the cuvée offers a collective interpretation of the different sites farmed by the estate. Its general profile combines finesse, structure and freshness, with blackcurrant fruit and liquorice; development can introduce game-like notes. Maturation takes place in barrels of different sizes. The wine belongs to the history begun by René Rostaing in 1971, subsequently enriched by family vineyards and continued by his son Pierre.
