Description

The 2018 Les Genevrières marks the arrival of this Meursault Premier Cru in Thierry Pillot's small selection. His micro-négoce project, begun in 2017 with Pearl of Burgundy, depends on strict grape selection from fellow growers. Thierry oversees harvest timing and then handles the fruit in his own cellar, taking responsibility for vinification, barrel maturation and bottling. The 2018 wine shows a finely drawn, detailed profile, with elegance at the opening and a gentle sweetness of fruit developing through the palate. A limited production, it extends to Meursault the sensibility Pillot established in Chassagne-Montrachet.
