Description

Cuvée 1859 tells the story of the Trapet family's oldest connection with the vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin. Its name recalls the purchase, signed on 23 October 1859, of Dérée et Champérier in the heart of the Brochon slope. This small historic holding supplies the Pinot Noir conceived by Pierre and Louis, the family's sixth generation, as a tribute to their predecessors. The project took shape in 2019, with vineyard management incorporating échalas, individual stakes supporting the vines. Here, the meaning of origin is inseparable from generations of continuous family work on the same piece of land.
