Description

The Fleurie “Les Labourons” is made by Domaine Valma (Valentine and Stéphane Mathieu) from the Les Labourons lieu-dit within the Fleurie appellation of Beaujolais. The wine is made from Gamay grown on granite-sandy soils; the domaine frequently uses whole-cluster fruit and semi-carbonic-style maceration with élevage in concrete tanks or used barrels. The estate is in organic conversion and aims to convey the floral finesse typical of this cru.
