Les Treilles du Loup explores Gewürztraminer through the Wolfreben vineyard in the Kaysersberg valley. Old vines grow in sandy, silty soils containing granite pebbles, a setting that encourages early ripening and aromatic concentration. Organic and biodynamic farming, hand harvesting and gentle whole-bunch pressing precede fermentation with indigenous yeasts in large, old oak vats. The wine combines suggestions of rose, white tea and a lightly spicy accent, while a touch of natural sweetness supports its texture. Aromatic and persistent, this Alsace white offers an especially engaging match for dishes with a measure of spice.
