Domaines Schlumberger's Cuvée Anne is a Gewurztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles sourced exclusively from Grand Cru Kessler. The vines occupy east- and southeast-facing slopes, with reddish sandy-clay soils over Vosges sandstone. Hand harvesting of overripe grapes and careful selection define this concentrated sweet wine. The bunches reach the cellar in small crates and are pressed slowly; the must ferments in temperature-controlled foudres. After bottling, an extended period at the estate precedes release, accompanying the development of richness and the wine's natural freshness.
