Vino Fino de Paraje Calizo interprets Albillo Mayor from a particular old vineyard in La Aguilera, within the Dominio del Águila project. Marl and calcareous sandstone lie beneath a surface of sand and rounded stones, and some vines remain ungrafted. Jorge Monzón explores the austere, subtle character of this local variety through careful grape selection and slow fermentation. The wine belongs to a broader effort to recover the village's vineyard heritage, placing the individuality of the parcel and the history preserved by its old vines at the centre of its expression.
