Description

Lalama is Dominio do Bibei's red wine built around Mencía and the heritage of local varieties in Ribeira Sacra. Vineyards are scattered across the valley's slopes, where altitude, cool exposures and schist and granite soils contribute to the character of the grapes. The estate favours separate vinification of individual parcels, indigenous yeast fermentation and gentle handling of the fruit. French oak ageing accompanies the wine without separating it from its origins. Lalama offers an interpretation of Galician mountain viticulture based on the complementary qualities of different vineyards and traditional grape varieties.
