Description

Dönnhoff's Hermannshöhle Riesling Grosses Gewächs comes from one of the Nahe's historic vineyards, on a steep, south-facing slope. Dark grey slate combines with volcanic rock, porphyry and limestone, giving the site a geological complexity central to the estate's understanding of it. This cuvée is the dry interpretation of Hermannshöhle, pursuing depth and elegance alongside expressive power. Rather than defining the vineyard through a single aroma, Dönnhoff emphasises its mineral character and persistence. It is a Riesling whose concentration and clear definition are closely connected to the particular character of its origin.
