Description

Bassermann-Jordan’s Deidesheimer Hohenmorgen 2024 is a dry Riesling from a vineyard facing entirely south on Deidesheim’s western edge. The soils combine weathered limestone with fine loess and loam. Selective hand harvesting and gentle pressing precede fermentation with vineyard yeasts, partly in large wooden casks and partly in stainless steel. The separate lots remain on their lees until blending. The estate describes quince, peach and nectarine, followed by a juicy, harmonious palate with a rounded texture that brings together the wine’s fruit and underlying structure.
