Description

Bassermann-Jordan’s Kieselberg Riesling originates west of Deidesheim, on a small plateau between Leinhöhle and Mäushöhle. Its name, recorded as early as the thirteenth century, refers to the site’s sandy, stony nature. Grapes from the oldest parcel are hand harvested, gently pressed and vinified separately in stainless steel and traditional wooden casks. Blending takes place before bottling. The 2024 vintage brings together peach, apple, citrus and herbal nuances, supported by lively acidity and a dry, slightly saline texture. A tannic element contributes to the wine’s structure and persistence.
