Bassermann-Jordan’s Reiterpfad is a dry Riesling from Ruppertsberg in the Mittelhaardt area of the Palatinate. The estate’s parcels occupy the heart of the vineyard on southeast-facing slopes. Its name may refer to passing horsemen and an ancient military road. Vinification combines Stückfass wooden casks, stainless steel and ceramic, bringing texture together with freshness. Balanced acidity supports a persistent finish, with fruit and herbal nuances. The VDP.Erstes Gewächs classification emphasises the wine’s origin, and its character accompanies fish and delicately flavoured dishes prepared with fresh herbs.
