Dubreuil-Fontaine's Les Vercots is an Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru made from Pinot Noir grown at the foot of the Corton hill. The deep soil contains compact red clay above fissured limestone. Hand-harvested, selected grapes are destemmed and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by maturation in oak barrels. The aromatic profile includes blackcurrant, raspberry and violet, while the palate shows depth of fruit and powerful, tightly woven tannins. This structured red can accompany steak cooked over a wood fire, goulash or strongly flavoured cheeses such as Époisses.
