Description
Dubreuil-Fontaine's Les Crenilles is a Bourgogne Chardonnay from a parcel on the Pommard plain, with clay-limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Maturation takes place mainly in steel, with a portion in previously used barrels and no new oak. The wine has a pale golden colour, suggestions of pear and a rounded palate, with tropical-fruit nuances on the finish. Charcuterie, Burgundy-style snails and goat cheeses are suggested accompaniments, with a serving temperature between ten and twelve degrees for this regional white.
