Description

Corton Bressandes Grand Cru is made from Pinot Noir grown by Dubreuil-Fontaine halfway up the hill, on a gentle east- and southeast-facing slope. The clay soils are iron-rich, stony and well drained. After hand harvesting and sorting, the grapes are destemmed and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel before maturation in oak. The bouquet suggests raspberry, plum liqueur, flowers and woodland undergrowth. Red fruit on the palate accompanies a velvety texture, concentration and persistence. Suggested substantial meat pairings include roast beef fillet, rib of beef, pigeon and roast leg of lamb.
