Description
Dubreuil-Fontaine's Corton Perrières Grand Cru is a Pinot Noir from a relatively level area halfway up the hill, facing southeast. The brown clay-limestone soil is very stony and fairly deep. Hand harvesting is followed by sorting and destemming; vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with subsequent oak maturation. Blackberry and crushed strawberry are accompanied by earthy and mineral suggestions, while intense fruit, spice and pepper appear on the palate. Volume, tannins and length define its structure. Rib of beef, veal and roast pigeon are suggested food matches.
