Description

La Landonne is Guigal’s pure-Syrah interpretation of one of its emblematic Côte-Rôtie vineyards. The plot was planted in 1975 and lies on soils rich in iron oxides, an important element of its territorial identity. Vinification involves careful management of extraction, followed by extended maturation in new oak. The house describes small black fruits, liquorice and toasted nuances accompanying a concentrated, structured palate. The tannic framework is an essential part of the wine, conceived to develop complexity and harmony through a long evolution while retaining the intensity associated with its vineyard origin.
