Description

Arenaria — Vino di Contrada (2022) by Eduardo Torres Acosta is a red wine made predominantly (90%) from Nerello Mascalese grown in century-old vineyards near Castiglione di Sicilia at about 700 metres elevation. The vines sit on sandstone-based soils mixed with light clay and quartz (non-volcanic). Winemaking uses spontaneous fermentation with roughly 15 days of maceration; the wine is aged about 11 months in tonneaux and concrete. It is labelled IGT Terre Siciliane and produced following natural/organic farming practices.
