Egly-Ouriet Grand Cru brings together Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards in Ambonnay, Verzenay and Bouzy. The selection of ripe grapes and work on chalky, limestone soils underpin Francis Egly’s interpretation. Hand harvesting precedes fermentation with indigenous yeasts; the wine rests for an extended period in bottle and is presented without fining or filtration. The importer describes red fruit, pear and delicate peppery notes supported by a creamy texture. This cuvée combines a vinous character with precision, preserving the recognisable expression of the Grand Cru villages that provide its fruit.
