Description

Le Gallais Wiltinger Braune Kupp Spätlese is made from Riesling grown in the Saar valley. The vineyard draws part of its identity from slate soils enriched with iron, a feature reflected in the hill’s name. The history of Le Gallais has been linked with the Müller family since 1954, when Egon Müller III purchased part of the estate. For Spätlese, the selection favours particularly ripe grapes picked late in the best sites. The work centres on quality achieved in the vineyard and a traditional, restrained approach in the cellar.
