Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Selezione Vecchie Vigne comes from the Pepe family's historic vine holdings and an extended wait in the ageing cellar. In Torano Nuovo, work with local varieties centres on preserving vine material and maintaining a hands-on method. White grapes are harvested by hand and foot-trodden; the juice ferments spontaneously in concrete and the wine continues developing in bottle. This selection is released in limited quantities. Time therefore becomes part of Trebbiano's story, allowing the expression of the older vineyards to be followed beyond youth and through the family's patient approach to maturation.
