Description

Etienne Sauzet's Bâtard-Montrachet comes from the Puligny side of the Grand Cru, in the section between Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and Le Montrachet. Red marl is a distinctive feature of this origin, associated with Chardonnay of breadth and substance. The domaine's history began with vineyards inherited and purchased by Etienne Sauzet and continues through the work of subsequent generations. In this cuvée, the richness of the site meets a pursuit of finesse: an interpretation of the Grand Cru centred on concentration and balance, while retaining a clear connection with its particular position on the hillside.
