Ettore Germano’s Barolo Vignarionda 2019 is a single-vineyard Barolo from Serralunga d’Alba made from 100% Nebbiolo. Production includes crushing without destemming and a long 30–40 day maceration; the wine is aged in large oak casks (~2000 L) for 18–24 months and then bottled and rested for over 20 months. On the palate it is structured and full-bodied with firm tannins, with aromatic notes of ripe red fruit, spice and subtle balsamic hints. It pairs well with meat dishes, filled pasta and aged cheeses.
