Description
Collaviniās Oltre il Giardino Chardonnay 2024 comes from San Floriano del Collio, near Monte Sabotino, on calcareous ponca soils. Manual harvesting and pressing of whole grapes precede fermentation and nine months of wood maturation. The aromatic profile recalls almond, candied citron and exotic fruit; the palate is velvety, fresh and savoury. The wine belongs to Giovanni and Luigi Collaviniās project devoted to four separately vinified varieties. Vineyard selection places geology and the relationship with the Friulian landscape at the centre of this approach to winemaking.
