Description

Stella Occidentis is the white wine of Ex Occidente, Bernat Voraviu's Catalan project. It comes from an old Xarel·lo vineyard planted in the 1940s, where vines grow in marine sands scattered with fossil shells. Its name evokes the western star and accompanies a very small production. For the drought-affected 2023 vintage, Voraviu used a 600-litre Stockinger cask and a barrique. The wine brings together a historic vineyard, its distinctive soil and a cellar approach that remains responsive to the character of each harvest.
