Description

Chemin de Châlons explores vineyards on the lower slope along the boundary between Avize and Cramant. It is one of La Rogerie's site-focused cuvées, part of François and Justine Petit-Boxler's project to revitalise their families' old vineyards. In Champagne, each parcel is tended and vinified separately, with harvesting at full ripeness and spontaneous fermentation in wood. Prolonged lees contact and patient maturation support a vinous, concentrated and precise style. The wine thus offers a particular perspective on the Grand Cru mosaic of the Côte des Blancs, rather than a general blend of the region.
