Description
Saffredi is Fattoria Le Pupille’s Toscana Rosso blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, rooted in the landscape of Pereta near southern Tuscany’s coast. Grapes come from two vineyards divided into four parcels. The sandy soils of the original site are complemented by tuff-based ground crossed by red clay, where Petit Verdot also grows. Coastal breezes and cool nights shape the growing environment. Following bunch selection in the vineyard and again at the winery, the wine matures in French oak barriques before further ageing in bottle.
