Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore is the house’s Chardonnay Trentodoc, first produced with the 1972 harvest. Grapes are hand-picked in the Lunelli family’s mountain vineyards on the slopes surrounding Trento. A long rest on the lees helps shape its profile. The general technical sheet describes a bright yellow colour with golden highlights and fine, persistent bubbles. Fruit is accompanied by hints of honey, white chocolate, citrus and spice. On the palate, velvety texture, harmony and persistence define the winery’s account of this mountain-grown sparkling wine.
