Description
Fontaine-Gagnard's Bourgogne Blanc is made from Chardonnay in the Les Plantes Longes lieu-dit. The southwest-facing parcel lies on marl-rich clay-limestone soils and represents the regional level of the Chassagne-Montrachet estate's white range. Cellar work follows the domaine's approach, with fermentation driven by indigenous yeasts and maturation in oak barrels. The wine's character is fruity, supported by a liveliness that defines the palate. Founded in 1985, the estate combines attention to its vines with soil cultivation and regular soil checks, forming the agricultural background to this regional Chardonnay.
