Description

Fontaine-Gagnard's Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc brings together Chardonnay from several parcels across the appellation, including En Journoblot, La Bergerie, Les Masures and Pot Bois. The soils are brown, calcareous and clay-rich, with a predominantly southeast-facing aspect. Blending these different origins is central to the identity of this village wine. Vinification uses indigenous yeasts and maturation in oak, following the estate's method. Its profile is fruity and broad, with a rich texture and a complex finish. The wine therefore presents several sectors of Chassagne-Montrachet through a single expression of Chardonnay.
