Description
The 2021 Proprietà in Fontanafredda is a Barolo DOCG from Fontanafredda made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the “Fontanafredda” subzone of Serralunga d’Alba. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with extended skin contact, and the wine is aged for about two years in medium-to-large wood casks followed by twelve months in bottle. It shows a deep garnet red colour, with floral and red-fruit aromas layered with pine resin, camphor and apricot jam; on the palate it is fresh and generous, with hints of licorice and pink pepper.
