Description

Francesco Clerico’s Barolo Bussia reflects the family’s connection with this part of Monforte d’Alba in the Langhe. Made from Nebbiolo, it bears the name of a broad, varied geographical designation encompassing several smaller areas. Bussia appeared on a modern Barolo label as early as the 1961 harvest. The estate’s story gained fresh momentum when Francesco returned to the Langhe in the early 1990s and adopted certified organic cultivation. Attention to vineyard work and respect for its ecosystem provide the agricultural background to this wine.
