Description

Magma is Frank Cornelissen’s flagship red from the Contrada Barbabecchi on Etna’s northern slopes (Solicchiata). It is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese from very old ungrafted vines and is released under the Terre Siciliane IGP (the producer sometimes references Sicilia DOP as an alternative designation). The wine is produced with a low-intervention approach, including extended maceration and ageing in large neutral vessels before bottling.
