Description
Munjebel CD is Frank Cornelissen's Nerello Mascalese from Contrada Calderara Sottana, on the northern slope of Etna, whose grapes are among the most prized in the area. It ferments with native yeasts and macerates about two months on the skins, then rests 18 months in fibreglass tanks and another 18 in bottle. The 2021 is savoury and flowing, with red fruit, thyme and volcanic notes.
