Description

Munjebel VA, Vigne Alte, brings together Nerello Mascalese from Frank Cornelissen's three highest vineyards on Etna, Tartaraci, Rampante Soprana and Barbabecchi, with vines over ninety years old. It ferments with native yeasts and nearly two months of maceration, then spends 18 months in fibreglass and 18 in bottle. The 2021 is fine-boned and vibrant, with red fruits, forest floor, pepper and volcanic notes.
