Description

Drei Dörfer is Franz Keller's Chardonnay combining three Kaiserstuhl sources: Jechtinger Eichert, Achkarrer Schlossberg and Schelinger Ohrberg. The name means three villages and reflects the decision to bring together vineyards still developing their individual character. Their common feature is particularly poor volcanic subsoil. The appearance of the ground varies between them: darker soils associated with volcanic ash in Eichert and Schlossberg, and lighter, reddish earth in Ohrberg. The cuvée therefore explores the meeting of distinct places through their shared geological foundation, allowing Chardonnay to connect these different vineyard origins within one wine.
