Description
Gorgona is a Costa Toscana IGT white wine made by Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi in collaboration with the penal institute on the island of Gorgona. It is produced from a small, roughly two-hectare vineyard planted mainly to Vermentino and Ansonica. The wine shows Mediterranean aromatics and a pronounced maritime character; on the palate it tends to be fresh, savory and persistent.
