Pétracine grew from Aldo Vaira's curiosity about Riesling, realised through plantings in the mid-1980s that were among the variety's first in Piedmont. Its name evokes roots in stone and the alluvial stones discovered in the Fossati vineyard. This Langhe Riesling places the relationship between grape and place at its centre, supported by vine material drawn from historic European selections. The family highlights its mineral character and capacity to develop over time. It is a white wine that expresses the estate's openness to the wider wine world while maintaining a tangible connection to the Piedmontese landscape.
