Description

Alteni di Brassica is the Sauvignon Blanc through which Gaja explores another side of the Langhe. The project took shape in the 1980s, with the first vineyard planted in the heart of Barbaresco and the inaugural vintage produced in 1986. Its name recalls the small stone walls that once enclosed vineyard parcels and the yellow flowers appearing between the vines in spring. Oak maturation supports an interpretation focused on structure, freshness and the ability to develop. Its character lies in the meeting between an international grape variety and the family's attention to Piedmontese vineyard origins.
