Description

DaGromis is Gaja’s Barolo combining Nebbiolo grapes from La Morra and Serralunga d’Alba. The blend brings together vineyards with different soils, exposures and vine ages rather than focusing on a single parcel. Its name recalls the Gromis family, the land’s former owners, and the wine was first produced with the 1998 harvest. Grapes from the different vineyards are fermented and macerated separately, and the initial period of oak maturation also keeps the lots apart. After blending, a further period in wood completes the cuvée’s maturation.
