Description
Sorì San Lorenzo takes its name from the sunny hillside exposure and the patron saint of Alba's cathedral: the vineyard belonged to the Church until the Gaja family purchased it in 1964. Close to Barbaresco's historic centre, it overlooks the Tanaro River and has clay-limestone marl soils. Nebbiolo forms the core of this selection, which matures in oak. In the family's interpretation, it is among the most austere and structured expressions of their vineyards, intended for patient development. Depth and the ability to evolve over time are integral to its connection with this specific place.
