Description
Arimanni is Galliussi’s Merlot Riserva, associated with vineyards at Buttrio in the Friuli Colli Orientali. The grapes grow on south- and southwest-facing hills with marl soils and are harvested and selected by hand. Following temperature-controlled maceration, the wine matures in French oak barriques and continues ageing in bottle. Its name recalls the free Lombard men and the Bosco degli Arimanni, now known as Bosco Romagno. The profile combines red fruit, vanilla and coffee with a full, persistent palate and silky tannins; the Riserva is produced only in selected vintages.
